Join us for a tasting through two distinctive Italian estates from the Mergè family: Poggio Le Volpi of Lazio and Masca del Tacco of Puglia.
The Mergè family has been making wine for generations, with its modern story stretching back nearly a century. Today, owner and winemaker Felice Mergè oversees estates in both Lazio and Puglia, allowing the family to explore two very different expressions of Italian wine.
Poggio Le Volpi, based in the hills of Monte Porzio Catone just outside Rome, draws on the volcanic soils and winemaking traditions of Lazio, producing wines that combine regional character with a polished, contemporary style.
Farther south in Puglia, Masca del Tacco works with mature vineyards shaped by the heat, sun and maritime influence of the Salento peninsula. The estate is particularly known for expressive wines from Primitivo, Negroamaro, Susumaniello and Fiano, including fruit from old bush-trained vines.
