Far beyond the Amalfi Coast, in the mountains of Campania, lies one of southern Italy's hidden wine treasures. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Taburno, Masseria Frattasi is a historic family estate whose winemaking roots stretch back centuries. Here, high-altitude vineyards, mineral-rich soils and generations of tradition come together to produce wines of remarkable character, elegance and personality.
For this special tasting, we'll explore four wines through two of Campania's most celebrated native grapes: Falanghina and Aglianico. We'll taste Falanghina two ways, discovering how this beautifully aromatic white can express both freshness and surprising complexity. Then we'll turn to Aglianico, often called the Barolo of the South, comparing two distinct expressions of this noble red grape, celebrated for its structure, depth and remarkable aging potential.
