From Mendoza to Italy: Dinner with Ana Lovaglio Balbo
Following our tasting at Italian Bar, Ana Lovaglio Balbo will join just six guests next door at I’m Eddie Cano for an intimate wine dinner, pairing her family’s Susana Balbo wines with Italian food.
Ana represents the second generation of Susana Balbo Wines and serves as the winery’s Director of Marketing and Hospitality. A graduate of Universidad de San Andrés in Buenos Aires, she returned to Mendoza in 2012 to join the family business and has played a leading role in developing the winery’s hospitality and culinary programs, including its restaurant, Osadía de Crear.
The pairing of Argentine wine with Italian food is particularly fitting. Argentina’s food and wine culture was profoundly shaped by generations of Italian immigrants, and Susana herself grew up in a traditional Italian family. The wines may come from Mendoza, but their connection to the Italian table runs…
