About the event
Join us for a very special tasting with Borgogno, one of the oldest and most celebrated wineries in Barolo.
Founded in 1761 in the village of Barolo, Borgogno has more than 260 years of winemaking history and remains one of the great traditional names of Piedmont. The winery farms some of Barolo’s most prestigious vineyards, including Cannubi, Liste and Fossati, producing wines with the long fermentations, patient aging and large Slavonian oak casks that have defined its classic style for generations.
Borgogno’s history is extraordinary: its wine was poured for the official celebration of the unification of Italy in 1861, and beginning in the 1920s the winery developed a tradition of holding back part of its Barolo Riserva production for decades. Today its historic cellars contain one of the remarkable collections of mature Barolo vintages.
